I played Ingress for years, beginning in year two (Agent Name: Chizuki), but ever since they added the ability to buy items with real money that provide an advantage and most players stopped farming as much, the game has become pay to win and is no longer fun. I tried to give it a fair shot, checking back in on the game over the years since and seeing how things were going, but I think it's safe to say that this game is just a zombie of its former self. Farewell, Ingress. You suck now.

Enshittified game. Unresponsive UI. Players used for war tech. So. Much. Lag. All. The. Time. Have to force stop and clear cache just to get the dailies to refresh. Completed assignments can take 10s of minutes to register. Way too much pay to play. If the basic game functioned well, it wouldn't be so bad. Cancelled core after 2+ years.

The original GPS-based game from Niantic. For more than 13 years this game has fostered an amazing global community of people who know "it's time to move." There are no ads/commercials and it's free to play. Gameplay will take you outside, increase your step count, and you'll likely discover something new around you. For many, a big part of the Ingress experience is the social aspect. If you like the game, connect with other players on social media. You'll likely meet some terrific people.

• The Android header needs some spacing to accommodate for different display cutouts but we reduced the excess headroom (especially COMM and Dispatch).
• Agents who buy the Codename Token can choose their current codename, like “devra” to “Devra” or “HunkJohnson” changed their mind and will keep “HunkJohnson.”
• Uploading 13 Portal Scans of the same Portal within a Septicycle immediately deploys a Fracker.
• We updated Intel Map to use API keys instead of Google Maps Platform client IDs.
